1. Project Cancellation
If you choose to cancel the project (or work) midway through, after ideas and proposals have been submitted, refund of previous payments is not possible. If I am unable to complete the project (or work) due to unforeseen circumstances, a portion of the overall budget will be returned based on the work completed. If the work completed can be used by another designer or developer, a percentage will be refunded based on the remaining work.
2. Project Suspension
I reserve the right to suspend any project (or work) if a client interferes with excessive micromanaging, demonstrates a continued lack of trust, or shows reluctance in making agreed-upon payments. Fair notice will be given with a chance to remedy the situation before resorting to project suspension or termination. Any suspension or termination will not result in refunds.
3. Communication Policy
If there is no communication from you for 30 days, I will consider the project (or work) terminated and cancelled. However, I am open to understanding your position and will do my best to help whenever I can, provided there is clear communication.
4. Revisions and Changes
The agreed price includes two rounds of revisions. Additional revisions or changes beyond the agreed scope will be charged at my standard hourly rate. Any additional work will affect the set deadlines, and they will be adjusted accordingly. I will be upfront about any changes in scope and their impact on the project timeline and cost.
5. Content and Assets
Unless otherwise agreed, you are responsible for providing all text content, photographs, and other assets required for the project (or work). Any time I spend searching for or creating these assets will be charged additionally at my standard rate.
6. Technical Support
I am not responsible for providing technical support for website hosting, email, or other services related to website hosting unless previously agreed or have signed an Service Level Agreement with me.
7. Project Completion
My work on the project is considered complete once the final payment has been received. However, I offer a 30-day grace period to fix any bugs or errors that arise. Any other requests made during or after the grace period will be charged at my standard hourly rate.
8. Intellectual Property
You own the graphics and other visual elements that I create for you for the project (or work). I own the markup, CSS, and other code, which is licensed to you for use only on this project (or work). I reserve the right to display and link to your completed project as part of my portfolio and to write about the project for promotional purposes.
9. Liability
I cannot guarantee that the functions contained in any web page templates or in a completed website will always be error-free and I cannot be liable to you or any third party for damages, including lost profits, lost savings, or other incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of the operation of or inability to operate the website.
10. Jurisdiction
This contract is a legal document under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
By engaging my services, you agree to these terms.
